Going to check out a guy's transmission this weekend. He tells me its an NV4500 out of a 96 Chevy.

has 5.61 1st gear, 2wd tailhousing

what am i going to need to put this behind my motor and make it reliable?

I believe all you'll have to do is get a input shaft for a diesel for the trans. and then the 2nd Gen bellhousing, adapter, clutch, and flywheel.

to get a nv 4500, Mopar or GM, behind a Cummins that has a Getrag behind it now. First you will have to have a bellhousing an NV 4500 wont bolt up then the out put shaft is smallerso you might need a flywheel or at the very least a different pilot bearing. the drive shaft yoke might be a problem as well. The transmission miunt and cross member could also be different too. I would do the research before I tore my truck down or ot might take you a while to get everything you need so your truck might be down for a while:confused013:MOPARTRKMAN
