I have been working on this for a while. Ordered a instrument housing on ebay so I would not have to take my dash apart while doing this project. I had posted earlier that I was installing a inteletronix create a dash. Wanted to show a picture of how it is going.I have not done the wiring yet. This is the type of work I really enjoy doing. Electronics is my background. I hope the picture posted ok. I have never done this before.

Digital dash

I have installed the dash I posted a while back. I had planned to send out some pictures and a write up. Since I installed the dash all gauges work like they should. Speedometer and tach. work fine. Major problem once I got all the sending units and gauges installed I have no od. and no cruise control. I have gone over the wiring a hundred times and can't find any issue. I am thinking the CPU is missing a signal from a sensor. The o.d. and the c/c where working fine before this project. I use a p.o.t. for the tps. If anyone knows something I am missing I would greatly appreciate any help.

The wires at the VSS the LB is ground, orange is 5 volt and w/orange is signal. Have you checked that?

Digital dash

:smile2:I have found the solution to the problem I was having with no overdrive and cruise. The signal coming from the computer was not capable of driving the speedometer and the overdrive and cruise control. I installed a Dakota Digital SGI5E ( speedometer signal calibrator ) and everything works perfect. This a great relief, after all the work I did to get to this point. I plan to post a picture of the dash and the original bezel that I altered to work with the gauge cluster I made.

Digital dash

This is the dash bezel that I did for the digital dash. I cut out the original circles where the original cluster was. The ends of my cut out are where the left and right gauges where. The opening had to be thicker so it would mount flush with the front of the gauge cluster. I used a piece of foam and fiber glassed over it. Then I used body filler to make it smooth. I painted the complete front with flat black splatter type paint. The gauges are a little to bright. I am going to take the cluster out and cover it with window tint to make it a little less bright. I am very satisfied with the way it turned out.
