I have a 1993 Dodge d250 12v and I’m wondering if I would have any type of OBD port. Haven’t seen one under the dash but I’m wondering if there’s possibly an older style OBD under the hood somewhere?

Why are you wanting to know that, you'll not be able to use it for much info.

So there’s no temp sensors or anything that would be wired up to it to plug in any sort of gauge is that what you’re suggesting? If so that’ll tell me what I need to know. I’m thinking of gauges and I’d like to have as much data as I can on the fewest gauges so I don’t have as many gauges to mount. I know that glow shift gauges makes some 3in1 gauges just trying to figure out if there’s a better option.

No you can't do anything like that unless you buy a 1998.5 or newer Dodge.

Most of us just use aftermarket gauges.

oil pressure
water temp
fuel pressure
boost pressure
trans temp if a auto trans
and if you add alot of fuel a egt gauge.

Really you have one of the most dependable engines in the Dodges, no electronics to make it run if you was to put a pull cable shutoff on.

A vehicle that doesn't have or doesn't need an OBDII port can be a good thing!

you are very correct - as the owner of a '93 D350, it is by far the most reliable and high MPG vehicle I own.

I guess I'm somewhat defending the want for the OBDII port here. Also, full disclaimer, I'm solely an owner, not a trucker or anyone who has ever made a cent by commercially hauling something.

That out of the way, for my newer (i.e. '96 US vehicles) vehicles, its fun to plug in my ScanGauge III, or other ODBII port->bluetooth adapter into my vehicle, and watch fuel economy and other stats scroll by when I make long trips.

In other words, I also agree, it would be neat to have, but not at the cost of swapping in a computer system from a newer vehicle.

If you're looking for codes, cycle the ignition 3 times and count the # of flashes of the engine light.
