I have a 1990 dodge that I have put a new motor in I had it running for the first time the other day in the truck and noticed a huge power steering leak coming from the bottom vacuum pump, out of the cap in the center, so I bought a new one and put it on and now the one on the side of the power steering pump leaks, is there something I'm doing wrong, or were both pumps bad and need replacing? I'm not even sure if they are both vacuum pumps, just what it looks like to me

Will this fit on my 1990? And I learned last night that those things that are leaking are called diaphragms, so if they start leaking are they still good if I put the reseal kit on the vacuum pump or no good?

The 2 pumps are separate things one is a vacuum pump and the one at the back side is your power steering pump. If the power steering pump is leaking it could be a hose or the seal where the shaft is that goes to the vacuum pump.

If the vacuum pump is leaking oil it would be engine oil. The best way to see which one is leaking and you can't tell, would be to unbolt the power steering pump from the vacuum pump and start the truck.

Can you post a picture so we might be a little clearer on what your talking about?

Ok if I uploaded the pic correctly, there are two of these things, one on the bottom of the pointed towards the ground and mounted on the side of the pump, this is the only pic I could find, but on the other side of the deal is a plug I should say..... The one on the bottom of the pump was leaking and I replaced and now the one on the side leaks in the same place, it's not a seal, it's just a cap, like I said I'm so confused
