Yeah, if I ever get new wheels in the future I like 17" with more sidewall for off road. I'll take the advice though and head to our tire shop I use. Seems like everybody has slightly different experience with rubbing.
So I settled on Toyo Open Country At2 in 295/70 r18, they fit perfectly no rubbing. exactly how I want them as they dont even pass the fender flares. when I get a pic I'll post some. Thanks for your advise.
Only thing I need to figure out is the spare. I need the full size for offroad, cant be left without 4x4 but very little space for 34.3" tire. going to need elbow grease lol.
They fit like a glove dont they? And you increase load capacity. They look beefy. If I'm being honest, I do like the way a 305-315 looks coming out just barely beyond the fender guard. But not at the cost of a lower load rating and not at the cost of messing with stock geometry. Just not worth it for a daily driver. To me, it looks like there's room in the spare tire well for a slightly bigger tire. It's barely 2" taller. And you can get any skinnier tire that's 34" and your good. I've also heard that a slightly smaller tire, even in 4wd is ok to limp along until you get to a tire shop. I cant verify that but it sounds right.
Yeah, they fit perfectly! I personally love how they look, but I can see myself liking them more if they went right up to the fender. That being said I dont want to get aftermarket wheels right now, I've spent enough money on this beast... for now lol. These 5th gen Laramies have quite a stock fender flare so I think I'm good with it.
As for the spare, I jumped under there today, and the only points I can see any issue with is the hitch and the driver side which are very close on stock size. I wonder if I can limp in 4wd with a 33.2 and 34.3 inch tire, but going into Death Valley I would rather not risk it. I'd rather put the tire in the bed if I have to. However, I think I can jam the new one up there, I can even deflate the tire since I carry a viair compressor with me.
I tried uploading a pic but it failed, will have to try from my PC.

If the ‘19+ are similar as the ‘13-‘18 trucks underneath. The 295/70/18 spare will fit, but tight. Guide past the trac bar and snugged by the hitch, driver frame and heat shield. Just be careful of the wiring loom that runs up the driver side frame when the spare is all the way up. If it’s a 2500.

I have my spare set at 70 psi. Reason is I don’t check the air pressure as often as my four on the ground. I can always deflate the pressure if needed as utilized when I get a flat. No need to drop down. The experience on my truck.

Ok, I saw your edit btw, I'm pretty sure they are the same but I guess we will find out! I'll first try with it at normal psi appreciate the info.
I think ill be good then with a little muscle and fussing, I'm surprised my tire dealer didnt think it would fit. I think they just didnt want to install something that doesnt fit perfectly thinking I'd blame them if theres an issue.

Here are the photos of my 19 3500 with a Thuren 1.75" leveling front coils and all 4 shocks changed to Thuren Fox 2.0. The ride is amazing and even with the 80psi the tire shop put in was better than the normal ride at 60 psi.
Wondered how the stock vs. Thuren level ride was going for you. I am waiting on my Thuren kit to arrive. Went with King 2.0 over fox because I had 2.5 Kings on my last truck with a Carli Pintop 2.5 system. I've always heard Thuren leveling kit had a smoother ride with 2.0 than the Carli kit?
Was able to get the tire squeezed in, but definitely no room to go any bigger. only issue maybe is the heat shield, the tire is right up against it. Would that cause any issues? like melting the tire or something?
I pulled the heat shield a tad away from the tire to get tiny bit more room. Really no issue if it’s against it. Atleast what I see from my spare next to the heat shield.

Ok. I tried to do the same but didnt want to damage the shield, especially if it wouldn't help much anyway. I think I'm fine. I jumped back under there and only other thing may be the tie rod or track bar running underneath the tire. it's just outside the tire, barely. dont think it's a problem but that's about it. wires are out of the way and it all seems good enough.
