*dishonest

Greetings lads. I guess my first purchase on the forum couldn't have gone any worse.

I listed a WTB on the forum for a Egde with Attitude. He replied making me an offer which I accepted.

I received the parcel after a few weeks. It wasn't exactly what I had expected ; the module was very thoroughly worn, the paint is worn off the attitude monitor and the LCD was busted, had dead pixels, and some connectors were broken.. Anyway, I hadn't inquired to that but as long as it worked I would be happy. Last thursday I had my mechanic, an athorized edge reseller, install the chip on the truck. It was later at night and after finishign the install it wasn't working, so no big deal, we'll check everything out tomorrow. Well he spent the whole next day on the phone with edge trying to figure out why the thing didn't work. The module wouldn't power up properly and when it powered up, it wouldn't read anything from, any sensors. EDGE said the module was dead, and I had to send everything in, they wanted $150usd to check it out and postage back and forth.

Now I'm sorry but I didn't fork out 350 quid on this module, plus canadian duties (70 or so) plus labour to have it installed for a dead module. I sent him a PM letting him know that I probably wouldn't surprise him by letting him know he sent me a paper weight and I offered to make no fuss about it if he refunded me the 350 dollars. I would be out $70 from the duties I paid and the labour, but I still offered to send him the device back so he can fix it if he liked.

Well guess what, I thought I was being nice but the bugger replied to me saying he ha a very good reputation here and that he sent me a module that was LIKE NEW !!!!! (it so worn out theres no more writing visible on the buttons!) and so I could go to hell cause he wasn't going to refund me anything. SO this guy's got a chance to get his module back and be out 0 and instead, he decided to be a wad. So I'm currently disputing it through paypal and will do a chargeback if that doesn't come through, but beware of whatever he has to sell you, he gets rid of his junk by unloading it to forum mebers.. Very sad indeed.

EDIT : Photos on P. 3

I'm sorry but that is so far from the truth it's ridiculous. No damage and I mean NO DAMAGE was done to anything prior to shipment. The module was absolutely in pristine condition. All the connectors and the module were in like new condtition. The Attitude monitor had wear on the buttons but was fully functional and the LCD was NOT cracked. I know for a fact the module/monitor combo was in working condition before it was shipped out. Hot unlock included with the Attitude.

I sent the buyer a PM to his WTB add and told him I would sell him my Edge for 350 and what my paypal was. He asked me to let it go cheaper and before I could reply (that I wasn't going to and was in no hurry to sell it) he send me the funds. I sent the package via USPS to Canada (not cheap) and insured the package for the full purchase amount of 350.00.

Here's my issue. I sent a working module, fully insured for shipping damage. The buyer claims damage (broken connectors, cracked screen) but did not contact me immediately upon receipt or looked into filing an insurance claim. Now he wants a full refund and wants to send the Edge back after receiving it in this condition and having someone else messing with it. Not only that but he sends me a threatening PM telling me that he wants a full refund or he'll give me negative feedback on the forums and file a claim with paypal.

I escalated with paypal as soon as he filed his claim. Nothing dishonest about what I do and I'm very dissappointed to have to deal with such a buyer. Very poor experience for me and any consideration I would have had to help out (refund some of the money for a bad--unintended by me--deal) is gone because of his attitude. I'll see this go through paypal's arbitration; it's not even about the money anymore...

The damage is without a doubt from use, it is wear from an item that was used extensively. I will post pictures of the items along with the serial numbers, registered to mister mihail's name (so he doesn't claim that oh, this is not what i sent him, I swear). You guys can see for yourself.

You disgust me sir, trying to claim innocence when you knew PERFECTLY that what you were sending me was throughly used, and not functional. Pictures will prove my point and then, you will destroy yourself stumbling on your own lies.

I will also post all our PMs if you'd like, to show how I approched you in good will and you told me to f* off..

Well if the screen was cracked why did you even install it, at that point I would have filed an insurance claim through the shipping, kinda stupid to pay to have something thats visually broken I mean its an lcd screen with a crack and you expected it to work? The arrows being worn doesnt really mean anything those are painted on and wear off with little use.

It's not cracked, it has dead pixels, maybe I wasn't clear. And as I said, the attitude doesn't work at all... It doesnt get any signal from the Juice module, so it is completely useless, thus why they want it to be sent in.

...has dead pixels but doesn't work at all...

...has cracked LCD, but now is only "busted"...

which is it? either it does not work at all or it has dead pixels, or maybe cracked LCD. And these broke connectors, please... The monitor was LIKE NEW... Sent to you in its original box in good shape, with the original instructions and the stickers. Give it up mister. YOU ARE LYING! At least keep your story straight.

Everything worked fine when it left here. No refund for you; I'll let paypal handle it. Very bad experience selling on this forum. I guess there is a first for everything.

Here's the deal: there's an ongoing dispute through paypal. The facts are that I sent you a verified working product that you cannot get your mechanic to work. I sent you the item in good faith, fully insured, and would have gladly helped you out by issuing a partial refund for a fellow forum member. I don't appreciate being insulted and accused of dishonesty the way you have done, therefore I have escalated to paypal dispute. Feel free to post our corespondence via PMs on this forum, but keep in mind I have a copy of the PMs as well. Please post pictures and the serial numbers of the products you claim are registered to me for all to see. I also have pictures of the item before it left my possession. I don't really care if you contact me via PM or not but I would prefer that you do not as I don't see any possible positive outcome; at this point I will just abide by Paypal's decision and take this experience as a lesson learned.

I don't know about that boost. The seller claims to have pictures of the part prior to being shipped and the buyer installed the damaged part without contacting the seller first. For all the seller knows, the part could have gotten damaged during install and the buyer is not telling the whole truth.

So, I can see PayPal going with the seller becuase the buyer did not notify the seller of said damages before trying to install. Buyer should have contacted seller immediately upon opening part explaining damages or concerns.

I am not taking sides, this is just my unbiased opinion.

I can 100% see what your saying but the seller could very easily have pics of a random unit on google lol but if he has pictures of the numbers and the numbers dont match then we got something either way you look at paypal it is a 60/40 chance most of the time.

this is why I never buy anything from a member with zero iTrader scores and also below 100 posts. In my experience, spectating numerous issues like this over the years, thats generally the criteria. My .02

I never thought about that aspect of it. I guess it will come down to who has the better documentation.

I will say I bought a very nice set of gauges from a seller on this site and it was for decent money as it was for 5 gauges and 2 pillars. It went very well for me thank goodness. So with that said their is still some honest guys and gals out their but you have to be safe in buying and selling on any forum that's for sure.

And Boost LOL No I was just saying I could see paypal siding with the buyer. As it seems they do that more than helping the real cause of a case IMO. I don't really like paypal as they have screwed me before. I still use it but don't agree with all their out comes. Not to get to far off topic on this thread but to long story short. I sold a Billet brand new never used converter to a younger guy on a forum not here. Took all pics and info and pics of it being boxed even. Guy said it was broken and didn't work. Paypal refunded him without him sending me the converter back at all. I was out all the money and converter. Moral of the story it sucks getting screwed on either end..
