A friend of mine put down 346 rwhp / 770 lb ft tq with only the free mods done to it. Its a '96 just like the one in my sig. I have yet to dyno mine though but I know its got to be more than his was.
Those numbers were with the fuel plate out, starwheel cranked, and the wastegate disabled which are all free mods and there is actually more free mods you can do to get even more than that.
Everthing else was stock, so that kinda gives you an idea of what you will make with turbo, injectors, dv's, etc and the free mods.:thumbsup

ok guys il look for the 97 or 98 12v. Are those years the ones i want. Anything else i need to know before i buy one. Will i need to stud it or have to worry about the rods not holding the power?

Any year will do fine ... But the 96's (manual) and up have the big pumps

My 1996 has the big pump. It all depends on what power level you are looking for as far as studs go.

At my current low 400's ... I have no studs. But that all is about to change VERY soon.

As said before ... I should (hope!!) to be breaking over 600 hp very soon

94-98.5 have p-pumps, 89-93 are rotary style pumps, 98.5-02 are vp, and 03-pres are common rail.....i believe

depends what injectors you want you can get a set of 370 marines that a lot of people make big power with for pretty cheap. be careful milling the fuel plate. there are two pins in it that hold it together (youll understand when you see it) dont mill past the first or the rack will miss it when it travels and youll have a chance of going wide open. o and delivery valves are a very important addition to the pump. probably laser cuts. and to do anything with it get a 215 pump and if its manual change the spring in the afc to a lighter one like off an automatic or from a diesel performance shop and your gonna want at least 4000 rpm spring kit and valve springs and once you blow the head just spend the $3000 and get it completely ported and flow a lotta air. and definitely gonna want a clutch and if you wanna make power your gonna want a double disc and if you do that buy southbend for the warranty and then you should be plus 500 then some bigger injectors an aftermarket pump twins or a giant i mean gian single and youll be wherever you want.
