Ok, well i am going to put a 12v into my 1985 k20 with a 366 big block. Its has i 4in lift with 3in body lift. I found a 1995 12v auto that the guy wants 3,000 for it with like 200,000 miles on it. I want to put a nv4500 trans so i will not need the trans and i would like to put a 205 trans case in it . What i want to know is what do i all need to do this conversion and tips and other things. Who has done this conversions!:thumbsup
Thanks, Adam

Since you are getting the hole truck you will have just about everything that you need. You will probably have to mod the motor mounts. As you go along you will find things that you never thought of that you need. Sounds like a good swap. good luck

I have done one. we got the adapter and mounts from Destroked. There adapters use a ford 6.0 starter. you need to cut the crossmember under the engine and drop it 6" for the pan. the motor mounts you have to drill the stock ones. the crossmenber that has the brake lines on needs to be cut and a lip welded on. If you are going to use the dodge A/c Compressor you need to do alot of cutting or the frame. and them welding to strengthen it. the trans crossmember needs to be dropped down 2".

With the body lift it will help youwith engine fan location. We had a 8" lift so driveline angles are a problem. It is well worth the time it is a cool conversion.

That is why i put the 3in body so i would not have to cut into the frame as much is what i was thinking and the 4 in lift is so my driveline angles are not as much a problem.
