Yeah you can get more power out of the 6bt but I would go with the 4bt. Exactly the same as the 6 cly just 2 less cyls. You can get quite a bet of power out of that 4cyl, and I would probably fit in easier. Also the deisel power mag. has an article on each.

I knew a guy with a twin turbo 383 stroker in a jeep cj. So the cummins should deffinitly be able to be done. I have been thinking for over a year about putting a 12v in my 65 dodge coronet !

don't talk about it be about it.

i like the 4bt idea, yea the 6bt would be cool but if your rockcrawling i'm sure weight ratio is a factor. not to mention you can still get that bottom end grunt you'll need out of the 4bt. either way you go i don't forsee it being too tough to get it in there.

Ive wanted to put a 4bt into a jeep for a while. I saw a write up in an old 4 wheeler mag i think where a guy put in a 4bt and was getting over 30mpg. You can get quite a bit of power out of them too from what ive read online. I think i remember seeing 300+ Hp in one.

Yeah man...If I can get a deal on a 12v I would get into it over the winter. Theres I guy on youtube with one in an Impala
The Coronet has a ton more room up front. I can't imagine it would be too difficult once you get past the mounting of it. The wheel base is about the same as my 2500 shortbed

I'm helping a guy here on base put a 3.9 cummins in a 67 bronco, and it fits pretty easy. I think the 12v would be quite a project getting it to fit. Either way i really wanna see some pics of the conversion!!!
