thinking ill splurge and go with new steed speed t3 angled manifold with external gate and just avoid using the smaller he351 gate all together. i like the idea of the manifold already having the wastegate flange on it. anyone use these with good results

Alot of people use the steed speed. I use a diesel auto power manifold on my truck. But I still use the hx35 waste Gate

yeah im just toying with the idea i think id rather just external gate it from the get go. save any dramas with the he351 gate being to small. Even though it probs be fine with a slight port

Just a one regarding valve springs. Would mt 60lbs springs be ok with better locks and retainers? Dont want any valve float and wanna keep rpm under 3400rpm and boost under 65psi. Or will some hamilton 103lbs springs be needed?

yeah i think my 60lbs ones should be enough. im not keen on revving the truck over about 3400rpm so should be ok. decent reatiners and locks it is then

Yeah u will be OK with the 60lb springs. My truck has 480000 miles on it with stock valve springs. It did have stock head bolts in it. I swap them out last year for them cheap headstuds.

YEAH SWEET. I'll be doing those headstuds as well. Apparently thy are good for 550hp. I'll keep the timing moderate at say 17 degrees

Quick update:- Ordered some new caps and retainers from PDD and ISSPRO DRIVE PRESSURE GAUGE and have the parts sorted for the compound build with my mate thats fabing it all up. At this stage will only be running the stock 215hp injectors as I don't want to make to much power for now as I havent got the twin plate clutch yet. So will minimise power for now. Also will have the compounds engineered while its at the engineer.

TRutrac will be getting installed into the sterling 10.5 as well as its an open centre outta of a 5.4 petrol 2wd f250.

Also once I get the 5x12 injectors would it be advisable to upgrade to some other dv's. Say some 025 or 055 dvs

I have a set of ddp .024. But I have a 180hp pump. There's no need to upgrade the stock dv in a 215hp pump trust me. I use to have a 96 with a 5speed with a 215. Those 215 pump fuel hard. I had a set of 5x12 and no fuel plate and upgrade turbo and a set of 4k gov springs and 18degress timing. it was like a rocket ship. One of the worst mistakes I made was selling that truck. U do those mods there with with ur compounds it will pull like a train.

That's good to hear as that's money spend else where as far as I'm concerned. With 5x12s from JKIDD or PDD I'll be happy by the sounds of it. Not sure if I'll go with south bend dual disk or VALAIR twin. I've currently got SouthBend full ceramic rated to 425hp I think it is. Whats everyone use for 550hp

I would go with injectors from diesel auto power I have. I bought a few sets from him. I bought one set from power driven never again will I buy a set from them. I ran a single dics Valair in.my 96 it was a k/c disc rated for 550hp never slip it. I run a dual dics valair in my 2012. But you can't go wrong with either company.

Yeah I'm hoping postage is mot going to be a killer coming from the states as the PDD dealer here is AUS does some good deals. But if they are rubbish I'd be steering clear. I'm going to see how the S/B single holds up ok at full fuel with the 5x10 i think the stock 215 nozzles are I'll wait till the clutch wears out b4 going with bigger injectors.

I have not had good luck with power driven diesel stuff. I had one of there afc live which I could never get to work right something was mess up with it. The afc live is a waste of money anyway you can tune ur afc urself just takes a little time. I think you will be ok going with the 5x12 on ur clutch just be smart how you drive it. My truck had a stock 47re in it when I bought it with over 100000 miles on its I ran it for 2 years with 5x12 no fuel plate and my 024v and 4k gov springs never gave me and issue. I pull it out after I built good trans for my truck. Than my stick trans I put in my buddies 97 and he ran it for 2 more years before the converter went.
