I have an 07.5 2500 6.7l deleted with an h&s tuner. I have little experience with a tuner to be honest. The question I have is, can dtcs be cleared with out uninstalling the tune?

Yes you can clear codes, it won’t affect the tune.

however clearing codes is not a fix. Fix the problem the clear the code, or it goes away on its own. Don’t clear to fix.

what’s the code?

P0117 ect circuit low. Reading on edge cts3 was normal, with the dash needle pegged out at over 240 degrees. It then came down to match up with edge read out, but chech engine light still on.

Unplug coolant sensor at thermostat elbow on head.

Clear codes, then recheck codes with sensor unplugged. Do you have a different code now?

If yes, is it "ECT CIRCUIT HIGH"? If yes, then replace Engine Coolant Sensor.

If still ECT CIRCUIT LOW, then the ECT signal wire between sensor and ECM is short to ground.
