I have have a leak coming from the inspection plate on my 06 mega cab. Where is the most common place for that tranny fluid to be coming from?

3rd gen are know for having leaking rear main seals.... you sure it's tranny fluid?

Its not oil its trans fluid, its red. Too clear and thin to be oil, its coming out the inspection plate

tranny input seal is pretty much the only thing there.

how about the torque converter oil? dont you fill it up when installed and bolt it on? could it leak?

Yeah its full of oil. Idk if thoses will leak or what. But I do know they have some type of fluid in them.

you put trans fluid in them, and trans fluid is pumped through them. thats how a torque convertor works...

2 things could leak. the convertor hub seal or the plug where the rod for the front apply lever goes in.

Trans needs to come out in order to figure it out.
