I have an '06 two-wheel drive mega cab with 5.9. I have plus 60 horsepower injectors just replaced. Cold air intake. Aftermarket bigger exhaust and the edge tuner programmer set on economy mode. The stuff I'm telling besides the trailer itself is just miscellaneous painting equipment. Nothing too heavy. Driving about 82 mph steady with the temperature about 75°, I'm only getting 13 mpg. If I drive 55 I'm getting almost 17. Is anyone out there towing with the similar amount of weight? What kind of stats are you getting? By the way fresh oil change before this trip, brand new air filters and new fuel filters.

The weight is practically irrelevant, but an enclosed trailer does suck fuel. Especially so at higher speeds.

Sounds about right. MPG doesn’t happen in the hammer lane. Sweet spot is usually about 50-65mph on these trucks depending on setup. Anything faster is going to make the needle drop quicker
