Hey I am wondering what kind of options I would have for a remote starter install on my 06 3500 6-speed? Has anyone done this? Or do they make a factory kit or aftermarket? Thanks

You have to do a few things to make this work. First off I highly don't recommend this. Some stereo shops/alarm shops will do this. Problem is you have to bypass clutch switch and there is no neutral safety unless one can be added possibly by the shifter somehow. First time you forget to put it in neutral you have a ghostriding truck scenario. Only reason I know this is because my neighbor did it and luckily his garage stopped it lol. Good luck!

they have come a long way when you get out of the truck you park and set it up out of gear push button pull keys get out of truck (running) 30 secs or so truck arms and shuts down only way it arms is out of gear

Read comment #3 http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-non-powertrain/792497-remote-start-2006-a.html I dont like to tell people to use the search because I know sometimes your looking for a little different info but there is 4 post in the top 10 post on remote start including yours and 3 are for 06

And after reading that still didn't see anything about it being on a 6-speed. Am I over looking it ? Or I'm assuming their trucks are autos

I still didn't see if it did manual transmissions or not. But thanks for the links I'll research them further after work. If anyone else on here has done this with their manual transmission Id like to know what system you went with and maybe a link to it. Thank you.
