My brother just purchased an 06 and dealer didn't know if it had been programmed or anything, but it does roll quite a bit of smoke. Was wondering if there was anyway to tell if the ecu has been flashed or not

I have the same issue. My truck will roll quite a bit of smoke if I mat the skinny pedal. Ive had it looked at by anarchy diesel and he said that he couldn't see any signs of a programmer on it before. The truck is straight piped if that makes any difference

I would consider dealer flashing it before installing a programmer of your own. Some have conflict with others, it would be safer that way, so you know you have a clean slate.

What's an easy way to find a boost leak or stuck open waste gate?
