My 05 cummins is starting to faintly sound like a 7.3 at idle. It has like a tap/chatter. I just adjusted all my valves and it sounds much better. But still sounds like it's tapping a little bit yet. Any suggestions?

i wouldnt get all worried about it just keep an eye on your oil to make sure it doesnt get overfull. and watch your gauges if you have them, watch for abnormal smoke when dring it. it could be a bunch of different things hopefully its not injectors.

run a quart of supertech tcw 3 two stroke oil from wal mart and see if it goes away

Well deep down inside, I think it's injectors lol. I have 190k miles and I'm running an s300 and smarty TNT R. So she gets her share of abuse, I'll admit that. Lol. But, I take care of its maintenance by a schedule. I was curious if I could ohm out injector solenoids Or anything before replacing them. I just don't wanna do the replacement just yet.. Lol

At 190k.....your injectors are on borrowed time! Personally I wouldn't waste the money to have the checked out. As to what I've seen General rule of thumb on injector life is around 150k. Doesn't mean ppl haven't gotten less of more out of them tho.

My wifes 06 was doing the same thing. Almost sounded like loose valves / loose torque converter bolts. Very hard to track where the noise was coming from.

When her truck was at 1/2 tank I put in a ton of Diesel Kleen and drove it to work twice (about 200 miles) and was not easy on it.

The noise went away and has not returned. I am assuming it was a dirty injector.

I have since added a 2 Micron water separator, and two 2 micron fuel filters inline prior to the factory filter to keep it from happening again.
