more then likely your injectors have gone bad allowing fuel to return to the tank and not build up enough rail pressure to open the nozzles

I'd recommend checking for pressure/flow out of the lift bump before you jump on to replace it.

no most of the time if its the lift pump the truck wont run at all. rail pressure is more of a needing starting fluid issue

can be a LP if it is just starting to fail
run a LP volume test, 1/2 qt. in 10 seconds minimum.
a LP gets minimum voltage and current under cold crank conditions = minimum output.

run a rail pressure test.
cold crank, 3k psi minimum, 5k psi for quick reliable cold wx starts.
warm op temp cruise at 2000 rpm on the road.

a HPCR with fuel system meeting specs doesn't need the grid heater for quick starts until below 0d F.

you can checl your lp which you should but your gonna find its a rail pressure issue since i have been thru this stuf on my 03 about 4 times before i got rid of it and once in the 06. do a return flow test off the injectors first to save time
