fuel shutoff solenoid failed. You can shutdown the truck for now by blocking the intake with a piece of wood.

03 engine won't shut off
Looking for help. My 03 3500 will not shut off. Remove the key, keeps running.
Dash gauges are still hot. A few weeks ago, when turning off and removing key there was a delayed reaction of about 5 seconds then the engine would shut down.
Now it does not shut off at all. Anyone with ideas as too why?

IF his gauges were still hot then it could be that his ignition went bad and it isn't cutting of power. Probly wrong but just a guess
To shut it down I put the truck in 5th gear and held the brake and stalled it.
I do not want to do that again. The problem is not the the fuel shutoff valve.
I tore apart the ignition last night and found out it is not the source of the problem.,
Something else is keeping the ECU/PCM live. I would have thought the ignition was the only way to put energy into the ECU. I need a fail safe way to shut down the truck.
Does any one know where is a good place to tap into the the ECU power?

Here is what I know so far.
1. I have the TST by-passed.
2. I have battery grounds disconnected.
3. I have the ignition connector unplugged. (in steering column).
4. If I connect the battery ground, every thing becomes live same as if key switch in "run" position.
