Hey there, I was wondering if anyone could look up the torque spec for the front axle hub nut (41mm locknut) for me. I replaced both hubs with Detroit Axle units purchased on Amazon and I cannot find the torque spec anywhere. The YouTubers don't mention it at all! Thanks in advance!

It is just a stock torsion bar with upper control arm 2WD...2001
So you have the "solid front axle" style 2wd front end vice the IFS front end?

Out of the factory service manual: 280 ft/lbs or 380 Nm.

The FSM is available on the forum somewhere. I just can never find it. I'll try to locate it again and post a link.

You know Detroit Axle is Chineese ....and stands for "will do it again really soon!"
I made the mistake of thinking it was an American Co, you know with an American name.
Serious, 6 months later I got to do an instant redo

I bought this product specifically cuz the name stood out as genuine American Iron! I mean nothing sounds more American than "Detroit Axle," If I may ask what hubs did you end up using after 6 Months?

They were honda car parts, I rebuilt the whole front end, it was just crap.
The struts, well one froze up in just 6 months, and the bushings were all shot in the moving parts.
Maybe the dodge parts will be better?
There is endless talk about this place on the net-not much in the positive
They are just another global company.
Hope your parts work for you
