History
I bought it off a fella from another town who bought it off a kid out east, who bought it used off someone else, who probably bought it off the original owner but who knows. I had many, many issues with it during the first year I owned it. Most of the repairs from the multiple accidents it was in by previous owners were half-arsed, so part of the struggle was fixing their "fixes." Over all, my repairs have come out to $4,000, not including upkeep, disposable parts, oil, and fluids. We call it "The Greasy Goat" or just "The Goat" because of its nasty habit of eating up the money in my pocket, and because it's a Ram. (Yeah, I know, a ram is a sheep. I don't care, it's still funny.) I've made up my mind to sell it at least two dozen times, but keep changing my mind before listing it. Now that I've essentially replaced everything that could possibly break on the truck, I've decided to keep it. It's turned out to be a fun truck, and I can't complain about the MPG either. It gets around 24 mpg average, but I've topped out at 35 mpg once while driving up from San Diego back to Kern County. Don't ask me how, I have 4:10 gearing and was at a screaming 2500 rpm the whole drive home...
Picture #1: Original condition I bought the truck in. On the tow truck for a water pump failure in the desert. Camper shell was free from a kind neighbor.
Picture #2: After the first coat of white paint. Broken down again in this picture, but I don't remember why.
Picture #3: Memorial day weekend 2020. Finished paint job on hood, and camper shell taken off. Flying the Stars and Stripes and the Gillis flag
