Abused by previous owner. Deleted LT 305 55r20 Nitto's as they ran front wheel bearings and ball joints. Put strain on rear end overheating wheel bearings causing axle seals to leak.
Now all back to stock. Front end rebuilt . Rear seals and bearings yet to do.
68RFE gave up after 2 weeks . Installed ShiftRite.com rebuilt/upgraded/bullet proofed 68RFE with H&S overdrive tune. Brilliant shifts. Firm,no lag and less heat.
When I bought this truck 1 month ago it was doing 14.2 mpg. Running back from Florida West Coast yesterday we were reading 22.5 mpg !!!
