truck started life as a 6.0 built in 2004. Being sold in 2005 over the years of ownership, a nice little cummins found home in this pre existing V8 frame, This cummins is an 06 common rail that is supported by a 6 Speed allison Transmission. We first started off by getting way with using the 5r110 Trans but harsh shifting led to snaping a input shaft and trashing the trans it was then rebuilt with billet parts and the best of clutches. along with a Billet trip Disc TC! But as expected we still had issues and led to tuning the PCS2000 and had no luck with it being a older controller. We then turned to a TCM2800 and still even with it tuned we could not get it right! So now a Allison is finding comfort in the place of what used to be a 5r110! built, installed, and tuned by SMR diesel performance in Colfax NC.
