Dodge would not build this truck with 4.10 gears. Nothing with a pickup bed, at that time would have anything other than 3.42 gears. Got a lot of stupid reasoning, from engineers at Dodge. " 3.42's will do anything that 4.10's will do". At approximately 1500 miles, I took it to Texas Dodge in Amarillo, and had the gears changed to 4.10's. Driveability, especially with a trailer, increased dramatically. The fuel MPG is between 13 and 15+ depending on weather, wind all that kind of stuff. Pulling fully loaded trailer is down to 10. All things considered, I like it just fine. 3.73 might have been alittle better on the fuel, but pulling is great with the 4.10's, and that is what it is used for. Sold Aug 2017
