I have an enclosed bumper pull car hauler. I found mine on Craig's list for less than half that. If you aren't in a hurry, as I wasn't, deals can be had if you look. It came with new tires and two spares, but I had to replace the brakes and drums. Not overly expensive at etrailer.


97 3500, 2 WD, G56, slightly bombed, 1.3 million miles with un-additized diesel fuel. Started the second million on 8/24/13

Only thing I found on the local classifieds was the 36 gooseneck and a few 12 and 14' single axle cargo trailers

2011 Ram 2500HD CCLB. G56. Valair DD clutch, 5" tbe, stainless diesel 472SX-E, ATS twin cp3, S&S 80% injectors. Smeding diesel intake horn, aem meth injection, air dog II 165gph lift pump, EFI Live by Anarchy Diesel, 1.75" level; 35x12.5R17 on G-FX TR-12

Patience is the name of the game. I searched the ads at least once a week for several months before I found the one I wanted.

You might be running into needing a CDL classA to start with. Then you might be into is your truck gross lic plate big enough to deal with it.

There should be an ID tag on it with the mfg weight ratings for the trailer.
I remember in the 70's when it was only a 6000 limit to require a commercial license. Called Class ! back then.

99 2500, Quad cab, 4x4 47RE, BD pressure lock on it, small BD 90/140 chip on the VP 44 connection plug, 17" 3rd gen wheels. 3.55 diffs. Ruenell front bumper and warn winch, Rancho adj shocks. 663k miles.
