IBC with EOH at stoplights

Loving my new 2018 Ram 2500!. Towed the 9-10K boat for the first time this week and she did great! Only one gripe, when stopped at a red light, the brake controller keeps the EOH pump working. At the end of the day the brakes were hot! On my old truck I had an aftermarket controller that could sense when the truck was stopped and would shut the EOH pump off. I'm worried that this may burn the pump up over time or cause premature wear on the components. Is there a setting that I'm missing or a way around this?

I’ve tried both and it does the same thing. Boat and trailer weigh
About 9-10k depending on fuel and gear.

So you are saying that your old brake controller would stop applying the trailer brakes because you were stopped? I have not run into that before on any braking system. I have EOH brakes on my 5th wheel, which is a little bit north of 18k loaded. As you mention when you apply the brakes while stopped you can hear the pump running, but without that there would be no braking... I think the longest day I have had towing was around 8 hours since the install, and while I have not checked the oil reservoir temp the hubs were fine. Maybe your gain is too high? I have mine set at 4.5 FWIW.
