LT metric VS hard metric?

What is the difference between LT metric tire sizes and hard metric tire sizes? I just saw that Nitto Terra Grappler G2s have a 50k mile warranty for LT metric sizes and 65k for hard metric sizes.

LT are heavier duty. Straight metric are for SUVs and are supposed to be load derated when used on a truck. Would have to check if derate is 5 or 10%.
