Recommended shops around Austin TX

Have been getting the tic tic type noise from my truck for quite awhile now. Recently its just been coming and going. Removed the inspection cover on the trans and put slight pressure on the torque converter and the balancer moved a good bit. Think tomorrow I will measure it with a dial indicator to get exact measurement but just with the naked eye id say ive got a problem with the thrust bearing. Truck is an auto around 78,000 miles.

Looking for any recommendations on good shops around the Austin Texas area Thanks

Get out of Austin to have work done. The dealers there focus on cars more as that is what they sell most of. I would go to Bluebonnet in New Braunfels or out to Ram in Lampassas. San Marcos Ram is also a good dealership.

Ram 14 2500 RIP 14,700 Stock. 68RFE."The Lemon"
Ram 15 3500 Dually. Stock. Aisin. N Fab wheel to wheel. Weather Tech Mats. Big D Steering Box Brace.

I prefer not to take it to a dealer.

Not sure if your still looking, but Truck Source Diesel in San Antonio is a good place to go. Chris and Chris (I think they are twins separated at birth) are some good fellas.
