Looking for Trans shop Nashville area??

If you're looking for someone to build something better than stock, look up Bill Cummins up in Ashland City (maybe it was son). Guaranteed mine up to 650hp. I don't have his number handy but if you can't find it, send me a pm if you want it. I'm between you and Murfreesboro so if you wanna come test drive his work you're more than welcome.

bill Cummings is in Dixon tn at dixon transmission up by the fair grounds is this the guy your talking about because I don't know of a trans shop in Ashland city it will not let me spell Dixon the correct way should be spelled as d-I-c-k-s-o-n

Well I just noticed that it wouldn't let me spell it right either. I meant that it may be in son but it posted "son". I think you're correct though.
I have no complaints about my transmission that was built by him.

my 2001 2wd wont shift out of first unless you wind it up then let off of it then it will go to second other shifts are normal does this sound like the governor solenoid to you?

Gov and pressure solenoid need replaced at the same time. I had same issue with the 48re. Changing both was the fix. Go ahead and get a new filter while your in there. 2hrs tops to complete the job with basic tools. Good luck. If you need more work than that look up cedar city diesel in Lebanon just 30min east of Nash.
