Yeah doesn't sound right. I had two 68s, no issues with either of them towing ~16k all over North America.
295/80R18, one was 3:73 and the other was 3:42.

Have towed with mega cabs for years, and still not dead. Current one is a dually though, as trailer upgrade exceeded SRW capabilities...

A few trucks ago, I had ~5 "free" oil changes included with the purchase. The dealer used conventional oil. When those were used up, I switched to synthetic 5W40. Nothing special required.

So for those not happy with DEF usage, measure it as a percentage of fuel used, not distance travelled. IE burn 100 gallons of fuel, Cummins spec is around 2-5 gallons DEF. I haven’t seen anything...

My Nexens lasted about 30k miles. Hard to balance, uneven wear and excessive feathering. Much happier with my Yokohama Geloandar A/T GO15, but if I had a SRW I would try the X-A/T.
