Smkn600CTD Instead of guessing, just stop by and drive a 1500 Silverado diesel.

I did exactly that this past week. I wouldn’t give up my 2500 Mega for it but I certainly would trade in my Wife’s 2013 Tahoe for a Diesel Tahoe.

That truck with the diesel flat out scoots and at least for 29 mph on the dash mpg on the test drive cruising on the highway.

Now if they price them at 90k, it won’t be happening as a new one.

They must have put some type of lower drag/aerodynamic something under the hybrids, I tried to put it on ramps but the front fascia was to low. I tried to look under it, it was very low and I remember seeing what looked like a unibody and saying some 4 letter words and driving to get the oil changed. Well pull my man card.

Iím intrigued by this as a used vehicle purchase in a few years but I fear by then electric options or hybrids will be a better option. Whoís going to make a hybrid diesel? Win, Win.

Have a good one fellas.

If you watch the video, you would know itís a real world test. Thatís all these guys do, is real world tests. All the way down to topping off the gas tanks the exact same way on everything they test-and hand calculating mpg

Your Tahoe hybrid had a frame, trust me.
Like I said, all Tahoeís and suburbans have had frames.
The hybrids had xtra low valances to help deflect air from going underneath for better aerodynamics for best mpg
