choied Use truck for road-trips/towing mostly, and I am usually going 75 to 90 on interstates. Haven't noticed any unusual wear on my end as a result of my driving habits.

HeavyTwo So, has this thread pivoted to bad drivers and bad habits yet?

I just want to resay something before the pivot.

These trucks ( as any vehicle with a solid front axle, like a jeep) have steering quarks. And speed amplifies the " quarks ". Example, if you hit a bump, the steering wheel will move. If the whole axle compresses, the steering wheel will move. The amount of movement is greater than other types of steering systems. If the driver is not familiar with the uniqueness of this type of steering, they may over correct. The steering in these trucks is NOT speed friendly. Makes sense too, as they ARE trucks after all. Not saying they cant handle speed, everyone here has already confirmed these handle fine when going fast. I just want those to know that at speed the steering will do odd things if you hit humps/bumps. But once you know what to expect, most drivers can handle it.

Ok, now let's discuss things like slow drivers, distracted drivers, left lane hogs, self appointed speed cops, and so on. 🙂

r_kimbrell1 I have had mine all the way to where the speed limiter kicked in a time or two and no problems at all. I live in Texas and travel several high speed highways and 85 to 90 is no sweat at all. Ride is smooth. Now, the fuel consumption is another thing.
