sdeeter19555 I ordered seam sealer from Eastwood, ordered self-etching primer and more Aervoe dark green and black as I'm thinking this thing will be painted this fall.

sdeeter19555 Well, daughter (she's 11...) was all for pulling the glass, so we fiberglassed the holes in the floor and pulled the glass. The drip edge is rougher than I thought, I have some holes in the roof (probably moisture tryin to get out). So I rooted out the scale, slathered the rust with converter, and primed...

The windows popped out ok, they never used sealer on the rear and that's why it leaked. The front sealer was spotty...and was possibly leaking...it isn't the vents in mine, maybe the cowling is cracked?

What does everyone use for seam sealer? What about gasket sealant?

So when I hit it next, fiberglass in the roof, seal the drip edge, prime it, cut it in with field drab or black (it's going woodland camo), and push the windows back in...then it will be the floors!

It's coming together, slowly...

sdeeter19555 Well, I got my plans changed...been ordering parts, no time to install.

Hopefully this week I can get the cab floor done, and get that back together...I'm possibly going to forgo popping the windows until next year in order to get it on the road.

I have to finish tweaking the MC and booster rod length, install a vacuum pump, finish some wiring, kill the KDP...I have the parts, need the time.

sdeeter19555 I've determined this truck was fully loaded at one point in its life...I found all the wiring for the mirrors, windows, and locks cut off and stuffed into the jamb on both sides. I have no idea what the POs did to this poor truck...but it's making sense now, white doors, black cab. And I found a sticker on the one door with a different VIN, like from an auto salvage. I'm going to pull all that wiring back into the dash and terminate everything with heat shrink in the even something still has power.

The rust converter has to sit 48 hours before top coating, so I worked on my brake light issue...two issues, rod too short and the bracket had loosened and allowed the bracket to rotate back. I didn't realize there were two adjustments for the brake light switch...

I also addressed the driver's fender that had suffered from either a battery boil over or a battery blowing up. I slathered rust converter on that and will paint it next week.

sdeeter19555 Pulled the seat, door seals, and the door panels today...pulled all the trim and headliner last night. I'm running without any headliner or trim, I like the utilitarian feel; but now I have a batch of screw holes to fill. Probably pop the windshield and back window and cut in the cab when I get the floor done.

I'm going to grind the little bit of rust out and get it coated with Gemplers rust converter then fiberglass the holes. Should be at least ready for fiberglass tomorrow night...then sand and prep for bedliner, then cut in the rest of the cab in black.

You can see those dimples in mine (that aren't drilled) for cruise (mine doesn't have cruise), but looking at that photo; it had to have been something owner installed that was since removed.

sdeeter19555 And, if anyone can tell me, what would have been mounted on the inner fender that would have ripped those holes?

sdeeter19555 Here is a shot of the cab floors, nothing real bad, caught it just in time.

I asked in another thread about bedliner, bought some UPol two-part berliner to spray on this once I get it patched and the rust sealed up.

sdeeter19555 Here is a photo of the lift block on the front axle...I've been told it's acceptable, I'm just going to crank the ubolts down and make sure they are tight.

I might try making a baffle, I like the fresh air too...this truck has AC, but I'm not sure it will ever work again.
