Chupp73350 Thinking about making the switch over to CTT on my 2015 3500 with the Aisin. I just bought the truck, it has a rebuilt Aisin with triple disc and punisher diesel tuning.

The main complaint I have is the de fueling. I know Aisin trucks defuel between shifts but it almost cuts out all power between 1 and 2. I am not sure if this is something related to the ecm tuning or not, or if CTT tuning would be beneficial for my issue. I know thereís no tcm tuning for these trucks.

I ran CTT on my last truck with the 68 and loved it!

2013Cummins6.7L I am thinking he would be wrong too, but not sure, hopefully more people will chime in. Also I am getting EFI Live with Autocal so idk if that makes a difference than those with the Ezy-Link. I'll be calling again tomorrow and this time I'll talk to a tech and see what they say or when I finally order I'll let you guys know on here what I got.

I then asked him about versions 2.1, 3.1, 3.2, etc., what those tunes were, and he claimed that those tunes were only for people that wanted revisions to their standard tune to fix a problem, and that not one tune is the same. So is the salesman mis-informed or should I have talked to a technician, because now I am confused.
I had versions 1 something & 2.1 when I first bought my tuning & Ez Lynk so I would assume that he is wrong on the others being revisions because when I first purchased everything I didn't ask for a revision. I already had versions 1x and 2.1 versions loaded when installing.

Are you running the 180HP/ level 5? Stock transmission? I ran 2.1 for quite awhile (several thousand) miles with the SOTF switch on 1 or 2. My only problem that I can remember that I did not like with 2.1 was between 55-60 MPH it would shift back and forth from 5-6th 6th to 5th like crazy. Could be doing 55 shift into 6th then be running 58 and it might shift back into 5th. Installed 3.2 and I noticed a huge throttle response gain and no 55-60 MPH back & forth shifting but all of the shifts are inconsistent. I ran 2.1, 2.1LBF, then 3.2, 3.3.3,b and now currently running another beta. Nothing seems to have consistent shifting. One light to another it might shift smooth the next hard as hell. Done the proper relearns but not sure what to think about all these. Each one of the unreleased files seems to be hard shifting and no consistency.

I'm running the 2.1 Intact tune and love it! I also have the SOTF, but it is rarely on anything other than the zero or 30 hp setting, due to the excellent performance with the transmission tuning!

Love it!

Aaron37 Each version has 4 different power levels and each version also contains different engine and trans tuning(for the most part, some will have identical trans or engine tuning with just minor tweaks to one or the other). There are 100's of different tunes (versions) and if you want to tweak a shift point or two, just send in a revision request ($1) and they will promptly send you a new tune. HPP/CTT have excellent customer service. I personally feel that HPP's tunes were better than CTT's tunes but YMMV.

2013Cummins6.7L Sorry for all the questions but how is there so many versions? Does each one have 4 different power levels? Or am I not understanding it correctly and each version is only tuning for the transmission and not the engine?

Aaron37 I'm on 1.71 with a revision to get unlocked shifts with no shift flare. It's a tune from September of 2017. I got tired of the locked shifts on 2.1 with my built trans. Otherwise I quite liked the 2.1 as well but slightly prefer the 1.71. 2.1 worked a lot better for me than any of the 3.x tunes. 2.1 also had the most power out of any of the tunes I tried if that matters to you. 1.71 gets the best mpg followed by 2.1 and then all of the 3.x tunes were all roughly the same for me.

Zedman, thanks for your experience, sounds like I will probably not be going the Motor Ops route. Anyway curious with the trans tunes, looks like CTT offers the 3.2 version tune where HPP offered the 2.1 version tune. Some people are happier with the 2.1 tune vs the 3.2 tune. Does anyone know if you can still get that 2.1 tune from CTT even though it was an original HPP tune?
Yep, you can still get the 2.1 tune. Just send them a revision request asking for 2.1.
