Well damn that sucks for me. Lol I was really hoping it was going to be a easy fix. I really liked the looks of the 2012 wheel and the button lay out a lot better than the 2010 truck. Guess I am lucky I only paid 20 bucks for the 2012 one. I cant get any of the buttons to work on the 2012 wheel.

That would be awesome. I live by Fort Leonard wood. I am a little over 2 hours from saint louis. Both of mine are not heated.

That actually explains a lot on some other posts where i've wondered why the 12 steering wheel isn't easily thrown into a 10-11. Would swapping the hands free module be an option? or would we be getting to complicated to fast to even consider that?

But I was missing the u connect buttons on my factory wheel. So I found a 2012 steering wheel with u connect etc. Well I put the 2012 wheel on my 2010 truck and nothing works now. Meaning none of the buttons or even the horn work now. I would hate to have to go back to the 2010 wheel. So willing to pay if somebody can help me make the 2012 wheel work on my truck
There is a guy on here that is 3D printing replacement buttons for the front of the steering wheel. So you will have the same buttons on the front as you did on your stock wheel, if you can't find the thread i can search for it, i know i've posted in it before.....But like Jimmy stated, if you activate the rear buttons through Alpha they should start to work i imagine

I found that with my tail lights there is an additional wire (in addition to the + & -) that somehow checks for a bulb out (I believe an intermittent ground - however I would not connect it to ground).

Option B fixed my problem (note this was before I discovered AlfaOBD).
Good luck
Hello, really thanks but i want to do this like OEM, i mean, when really bulb is broken on dash i can see „rear turn lught out”
And i know it is possible but idk how yet 😛

One more think, after all changes oem controll cabel is still on, i mean idk why but i have to connect extra resistor to oem control cable then „light out” on dash disappear.. and i really want to do this like oem, When really light is out it shows this on dash 🙄

Ok. Make sure you are back to combined rear lighting disabled, rear turn output set, and leave led rear turns set. We need to try to disable the fault sense wires that go to each tail light housing. There should be two settings in CBC I/O Usage related to “rear door ajar” or “sliding door ajar”. These are what are actually used for the rear fault sense wires on our Ram trucks. I know you said you didn’t see them, but double check. They would be in the same section as “hood ajar switch USAGE (not INPUT)”.
If you don’t have those settings, you could disable the rear lighting DTC setting under CBC features. If you do this, you won’t get an alert if any of your rear bulbs are actually out.

Then, there’s a last resort of adding resistors to the rear turn signal driver wires, but, I’m sure you want to avoid doing this.
Ok i’ll try this all but on monday. Now my car is in paintshop 😕
I’ll do than photos of all my options and send to you.

Ps. And this problem is only with sport led lights.. in normal bulb light like in slt after „combinated not set”, „rear turn output set” and connect to bcm all is fine, when light Is blinking all is ok, when i takie out the bulb it shows light out, so it works as it should.. so i think it is possible to make it right 😕

Maybe have to do sth with control wire in lamp ? I use reverse bulbs as turn .
