xcc_rider I would try the second newest tune and see if the exhaust brake come back to normal

b.lee I loaded the latest ME "N" tune on my S67A and installed it
But after updating the smarty with these free tunes it loads up and says S67B when the display first turns on.
The tune still loaded as normal into the truck and no check engine lights, but my exhaust brake is almost non existent.. besides for locked up in 4th gear, its ok.

The odd part is after reconnecting the Smarty to the truck and adjusting the options, I have no option for VGT. Just timing and speed limiter.

Any ideas?

xcc_rider That message is when you try to load an incorrect tune to your particular tuner.
IE: a S67 tune onto a J67, an emissions legal US tune onto a non US (delete capable) tuner or vice versa.

Ok, just to be clear,
Is it a Raceme or Smarty Jr (J67) tuner?

You're trying to load a J67 and not a S67 tune correct?

You've unzipped the tune using the 7zip program prior to loading to the tuner right?

You're using the smarty.exe program to load the tune correct?

And for craps and giggles, the tuner has a blue face on it right?
(Some of the last delete capable Smarty's had the black face but they're rare)
And it's a horizontal rectangular shape not a vertical elongated shape right?

If all the above answers are yes then you've probably got a faulty tuner.

diggem636 I have even tried to download the non me tunes from Smarty's website and they are giving me the same message. Someone please help!!!!!

diggem636 I have searched the forum and been unable to find an answer so hoping that someone here may be able to help me. I have a Smarty JR Race first few of the serial #SJ67P. I am sure that it is delete capable but when I try to upload the delete tune into the tuner it says "file not compatible with version of smarty" any help would be appreciated as I have already deleted everything only to find out I can't get my tuner to update.

Lol you deleted before you have a tuner? So the truck is a giant paper weight now sitting in limp mode? You might want to make your thread to start the discussion. Also plan on posting your goals. What do you do with the truck, what kinda of HP do you need/want. What work was done on the truck (besides all the easy level 1 stuff you just did). More power from a tuner is gonna cost you big if your not careful.


If you just want to be deleted for reliability and not get into the more HP game, I would go grab the basic 1 tune low go gain efi live from anarchy diesel. It will run you 500-600. That or do your research and hunt down a used tuner than will do the job.

Just purchased 2007.5 dodge 2500 4x4 6.7l installed 5in mbrp turbo back, cold air intake,egr delete [sinister], 3.5 in stainless intake throttle body delete,evil energy fuel regulator plug. Trying to get advise on tuners because there are so many out on the market only want to do it once appreciate any input.

Yup, Iím running around now with the motor unplugged, as you said no CEL. I donít feel any power loss, actually itís quicker off the line and spools better. I also changed out the stock horn to a pusher style, or its all in my head haha. Either way, happy to not have that little motor plugged in anymore.

Ohh interesting... yea this little motor is awkward and heavy to zip tie out of the way, Iím fine with a theoretical derate in HP, I am running sw3 on the jr. so thereís hp to spare.

s10010001 Ohh so you still get the ďderateĒ and CEL if I pull it? Bummer. I donít care about the 20hp but CEL, no thank you.

Iíll give it a try when Iím done making it full off road only and see what happens

xcc_rider According to some old documentation I found you can leave it unplugged but you'll lose something like 20hp.
