ddurr92 I figured out what happened. I was shipped bthe wrong 5.9 seal. They shipped me the 5.9 360... Smh

GAmes The t-stat has two seals, an outer and an inner. It sounds like you only have one of them. Page 7-5 in the FSM has a good illustration.

Thermostat seals

Have the thermostat seal been superceded to a new seal or something.... My old original seal has a definite lip on it... The new one I received has no lip, but it's pretty much the same size....?
