new guy from texas

hello yall!

recently sold my 6.0 powerstroke and picked up this 06 3500 4x4.

im not new to the diesel world. i'm an ASE certified diesel tech and have been working on them for awhile now. recently hung up my tools after i got out of the army and decided that driving trucks pays better.

figured id join up here to help anyone local with repairs and get some knowledge myself. ( can never stop learning )

been on multiple forums for duramax and powerstrokes as that's all i had before this 06.

Welcome, Colin.

I believe Gary @GAmes is in Killeen, & drives trucks as well.

Welcome, Colin. I'm from Conroe, about 3 hours southeast of Killeen.

I notice in your picture there, you're filling up with some central Texas ULSD. You might want to add some lube with that stuff. Ask GAmes about adding to 2 stroke oil to your fuel... Or better yet, depending on what custom fuel injection parts you're running, you might try some of this stuff:

Your choice of additive is great. Never in a million years would I add 2SO.

I have it on good authority that even your grandson imbibes 2SO for breakfast.
