Lister Diesel Generator

So I took my generator on a road trip up a mountain, Now it wont start
Turns over fine just wont run.
3 cylinder water cooled, 10KW
Maybe an oil pressure switch? Air?
Any ideas?

There could be a few things involved...

First one I would check for is a safety switch on any of the doors that open. Second, I would crack an injector line to see if it is getting fuel. If so, and it still won't start, I would be looking for an air cut off of some sort.

The company I work for bought a couple of FRAC heaters, and these two items caused all kinds of issues with the generators. Bumpy oilfield roads had loosened the door latch just enough to not hold the safety switch in on one unit, and the other unit caught a sniff of propane that caused the air cutoff to trip.

Hope this helps.

Recently acquired Lister, in the last 5 or 10 years? Or is this a life-long friend?

Sorry for straying off topic, been looking for an older Lister for a few years.

Good luck with yours.

Sorry for replying to an old post.

I'm curious as to how you came out with your Lister?

Are you now a life long Lister Gen. owner? Ready for it to find its next home? Other?
