I'd almost buy a '15/'16
I had a '15 F250, and had nothing but problems.
Engine shudder at regen (delete would have cured that). Let me tell you, it would freak you out when it started shaking...did not feel healthy for the truck.
I also didn't like the way the regen worked...it rarely did passive regen; it was almost always mechanical. The mechanical regen only works while driving (not in park), and it always went into regen at the worst possible time...like a mile from pulling into the driveway or something...it flashes on your dash to let you know it's going into regen.
It also got horrible fuel mileage.
I also had electrical problems (was on the back of a flat bed 3 times the 1st year).
I traded it, before the warranty went out...too scared to keep it.
The electrical issue was probably a lemon problem...none of my other Ford buddies had those issues. That was the primary reason for getting rid of it.
The regen problem, as stated, would have been cured w/ a delete, but I didn't want to delete it, because of the electrical issues I had.
I've not had 1 problem w/ my Cummins/Ram though...very pleased.
The current model of Ram is far better looking (IMO) than the previous generation of Fords. I think the new Fords are really good looking trucks though...probably the best looking truck out there. But I think all of the current HD trucks are good looking trucks.
Ram has the most features in a work truck than any of them, and I think Cummins is the best/most efficient diesel engine out there.
