May want to go ahead and get the springs, stock springs have been known to start floating around 3200, recommendations are not to rev stock spring much past 3000.

That is crazy that you guys can't haul anything but you have ore trucks pulling 3 trailers weighing over 250,000 lbs gross

strokersace likes this.

yeah ok ill order a set for 12v. any brands you think are better than others??

yeah its crazy we have massive road trains full of livestock and then others full of hay and stuff. what is scary is the little 2 2.3T DUAL CAB 4X4 that can tow same weight as my f250. they have no stopping power and i had a toyota hilux that would get light in the front end with 2t behind it and it was rated at 2.5t

I used PacBrake 60# springs on my engines, I put all 12 springs on.

They must rate the F-250 differently down there.
Here they can haul a couple of tons in the bed with gvw of around 10-11000 lbs, truck weighs 5500-6500 lbs empty.
Towing a trailer a F-250 can have a gcvw of 19,000+
My F-450 can tow with a gcvw of over 36000 lbs but I have to have different license for anything over 26000 lbs, I have commercial drivers license, used to drive 18 wheelers.

Ok ill order the valve springs as well once the engine arrives. The fuel plate and gov springs will arrive in the next 2 3 weeks from the states..

Apparently they are changing the rules again here but in Queensland that will effect nearly 200k caravaners. Bloody joke this Australian rules bull

ok ive been reading abit on he ford fuel supply and return line being alot smaller than the 12v may need. will have inch flow and return be fine?

I was thinking about getting black ally aero flow stuff. I used it in my supercharged ls-1 ute years ago was good stuff. I'll run braided lines from that up to the pump. Also I have a holley red lift pump I might put that back near the tank to push fuel up to the engine seen as though I already have it ready to go. Also will chuck a fuel pressure gauge in while i'm at it i think..

I ran 1/2" supply on mine and returned it back thru the original 5/16 supply line, then plugged off the original return.
Adding a pusher pump is a personal choice, I choose not to, with the 1/2" supply line I'm not have low fuel pressure issues.
Does you truck have a rear mounted tank or mid mount, mine in the rear behind the axle, I can access the fuel pickup unit thru the hole in the bed for my goose neck hitch.

Ok that sounds like the go save running 2 new lines. Mines a mid mounted 140L tank. Itll have to be dropped out id say to do any modifications. Is the tsnk sender in the powerstrokes the same as the 4.2 i wonder?
I think ill chuck the lirt pump in cant hurt i reckon.
Did you use alloy 1/2 fuel line? Aeroflow sell some 7.5m worth for 50 60 bucks

Also ive only got dana 70.diffs apparently i might need a set of 7.3 sterling diffs eventually. Straight swap at least

I just bought a roll of 1/2" braided and put on the fittings where I needed them.
Dodge used Dana 70's in their 2500's, not sure what gears are available.
If you have Dana 60 front that's good, can't say much good about the Dana 50 some Fords had.
I used a bulkhead connector there the sender and ran 1/2" all the way to the bottom of the tank.

Correction: after looking at the photo I see I used the original return line instead of returning thru the supply.
I think it was because I had to cut the end off of the supply to make room for the bulkhead connector
Filled the cutoff line full of sealer to prevent it from leaking.

You'll also want to look at a Racor PS 120-01 pre filter to replace the Dodge unit that's known to give problems.

Yeah thats the go. The alloy stuff is quiet hard to work cause its bit stiff. Braided stuff and the pro flow fittings yeah.

That new supply elbow in the top is that a fresh hole drilled and like a threaded elbow with a nut on the bottom

Yeah I think its dana rear and front not sure. But a bloke here in aus that did the 24v 5.9 Cr into the same ute and previous engine as i have said with 400hp 2 rear diffs blew

Yes, drilled a new bigger hole and installed a 90 degree bulkhead fitting
It's double threaded, has threads for the jam nut and threads for the jic fitting

Here's a link to the one I used

Yes, it was simpler than switching back and forth from braided to hard line and back to braided.

No sure how 10.25 Sterling will hold up, the factory posi unit isn't much good, Dana 80 may be the way to go.
