Ok, I'm on a couple other tractor forums but not that one, I have 7 farm tractors, 5 operational, 4 used regularly for farm work and 2 project tractors to be used on the farm when completed.
All Fords.
I have a 3 cylinder Deutz engine on a snorkel lift, the drive hub on the rear connects to a hydraulic pump to power the machine.

I had a friend with a small machine shop fix me up a shaft that went into the hub and the generator pulley is off that then on the end of the shaft is a Lovejoy that i'm going to couple a hyd pump to that i'll run my log splitter from. That 'll save extra hours on my tractor.

I got 2 of these in the mail today one for the Blazer and one for the Ford, will make it nicer for plugging in the block heaters.

It's a nice setup for the money and the plug for the hole on the outside fits tight.

I've been noticing that for the last couple weeks the starters not engaging on my 2 year old store bought rebuilt starter. I ordered a set of Larry B's starter contacts and got them Wednesday and was going to put them on when I got a chance. This morning I was in my driveway putting my trailer on and shut it off to do something and when I came back guess what, it wouldn't start just click. So I unhooked my trailer and got my tractor to move the trailer into the yard so I can get the Ford out and also used the tractor to push the Blazer into the shade to repair.

When I started tearing the starter down for the new contacts the big battery lugs weren't very tight. Installed the new parts and put it on and guess what it still wouldn't start, after checking my battery cables and cleaning then the last one was the ground on the engine which is a pain to get to. Put my sock on and went to turn it off and guess what there was no resistance on the bolt, so I tightened up the bolt ans it started. Who would of know that a bad ground would have caused the same symptoms, LOL.

I always tell everyone when having electrical problems check your cables and grounds, should have practiced what I preach. I wanted to do the contacts anyway but just not on a 90 degree day ouitside in the shade fighting off the mosquitoes and gnats.

Nothing ever breaks down on a nice day when you have time to fix it.

I'm just thankful it broke down where it did and not where I was going with the trailer attached to it.

I might have missed it, but what did you do for engine mounts? Can the factory ones be used on the chev or do you need to cut them off and weld a custom set on? Hoping to do a square body suburban in the next few years and want to get a decent idea on some of the details.
Thanks

1993 W250, G-360 manual completely stock.

I used 2nd Gen engine mounts and a frame kit from Rob Bonny Fab. There's a picture of the kit on the 1st page.
