Getting solar panel into Truck Bed

I use my shelled bed Dodge for camping. I have a platform in the back with a spare battery and want to use some solar to keep the battery topped off while camping. How do i get the wires into the truck bed?

I was thinking of one powersource come up between the cab and bed and another power outlet/inlet in the tire well. I am just looking for suggestions on how to make this waterproof so the wiring does not cause leakage into the truck bed.

Drill holes in the shell and use grommets to seal up. That would probably be the quickest and cleanest way. The only other option is to go through the bed but its the same scenario, drill & grommet. You can get them from your local hardware or auto parts store.

Thanks somewhere I have a variety pack of grommets. Guess I need to get the wires and try to figure out the grommet size. I was also thinking of adding an Anderson Power pole outlet into my wheel well or underneath mounted in the frame so I can plug and unplug as needed.
