Using factory sat receiver with aftermarket radio

Just as the long title reads. I want to put a double din in my 07 2500, but would like to keep my sat radio. It’s this possible?

In theory, you should be able to hook up the audio outputs to an audio in port on your new head unit with a little bit of custom wiring. Signaling the channel changes over CAN bus is possible with custom software.

Facing financial reality, you and I are probably the last two people in the world with lifetime Sirius subscriptions tied to one of these relics that hasn't been sold in 10+ years, so no aftermarket head unit that I know of will ever support the thing due to lack of demand.....

On that note I will stay with what I have. That or find one with a aux port.

I just abandoned my sat receiver when I upgraded to an Apple CarPlay head unit, since I had not listened to it in a year thanks to streaming music services. These days, I have no tolerance for broadcast radio in any form. I thought about hacking it into the head unit with some custom software, but it isn't worth the time for the few minutes per year I would actually listen to it.....

Put a pioneer dvd player in my girl friends jeep for Christmas and hooked the factory antenna up with an aftermarket adapter.
