he351cw, not the he351ve.

2007 6.7L came with the he351ve

difference? the CW is a gated turbo, the VE is a variable geometry turbo.

Hey, don't know where to post this, but I need to replace my stock turbo, and I'd like a little larger turbo. I'm towing a 36' tag along, and would like a little faster spool up for towing, any help?

Hard for anyone to answer that question unless you tell us what you have. If you have a Subaru WRX I would suggest a vf30.......

My biggest concerns are back pressure and EGT's.

First you are in the wrong section, this is the VP44 section not the CR section.

Second what is a "stage 1" trans build? Can it handle more power than the 351cw can support IE ~450hp?

Do you really need more power? The he351 is a great turbo. You won't find much that spools faster. If you have backpressure and egt issues turn the fuel down. If you want more power then break out the wallet and see what guys are doing for your desired power level in the CR section.

62/68. If towing/dd 12cm housing. If more play toy and spirited runs 14cm housing.

The 12v will RISE again.

common rails are a whole different animal when it comes to spooling turbos...what lags like a pig on a 2nd gen can spool instant on a CR due to full electronic control over timing, injection events, rail pressure, etc. Our trucks are in the stone age for fuel control compared to theirs, and ours are mechanically limited for timing, injection, duration, etc.. Theirs are not.
