twins are in, have some ?s

ok guys we just finished the twin build. Im using an hx35 and an hx55. the 35s wastegate has been drilled also. the truck runs good but egts are high as i expected they would be. I think the issue is the injectors. Im running rv275 and i know those are to small and my question is what should i get for this setup? I built this setup for a mild set to tow and for everyday driving so im not looking for big hp. with my edge turned on 3 fueling 5 and i pull a steep incline at 40mph 30% throttle i see about 980 degrees at the manifold and about 600 at the downpipe. seems high to me. the highest boost i have seen is 35 and i think that is due to injectors. I still need to play with the wastegate actuator on the 35. You can really here the 55 light at 15psi. but any info on some mild injectors would be much appreciated. thanks guys

oh and a little more info, the highest ive seen is about 1200 and it comes on quick when you hit the throttle. i know people say 1200 isnt that high but thats with no load. im worried its going to be higher when towing. with the edge on 5x5 i can see a good cloud of smoke when i get on it and as soon as the 55 lights it clears up.

They are a little small, but you should be able to make that work. You run with the edge on at all time? I would get another boost gauge and tune them a little better.

your EGT's sound fine to me...

900 is not high. keep in mind most twins will keep you around 800-900 cruising, and 1100-1300 WOT

over 1300 is where you are getting too hot and need to look into ways of cooling it down.

as for injectors, rv275's are too small for twins. get some 125's or 150's and you should be in good shape.

also keep in mind twins work differently than a single...A single you get used to seeing your EGTs keep climbing

twins you see them climb then start to drop once the primary charger spools up.

i figured for that set of twin 90hp would be big enough injectors. as far as the 2nd boost gauge goes where to i tap into to and what im a looking for as far as boost pressure in the second gauge?

between the secondary and primary. you want 1/2 the total boost.

usually with twin kits the cold pipe has a fitting for a boost gauge so you can read boost from the primary only, and your second gauge would be in the intake manifold (usually a boost bolt) so you can read total boost.

little hard to see, but my boost gauge lines are those two clear lines that are routed through the hood seal on the firewall, and into the truck.

ok i have yet to get my second boost gauge in. money is a little tight. however i have played with the wastegate adjustment on the 35. the gate starts to open at 23psi testing it with compressed air. however when i drive the truck the 55 lights at 10psi on the gauge. seems early to me. i dont want to close the 35 gate up to much more. truck runs good however i thought the primary should come on a little later the 10psi. i see an easy 38 psi with the edge on 5x5. should i close the gate up more?
