Hi..its been a while since I've been on... I installed a new stage two trans a week after posting this and its all good now...I hate spending money like that but what you gonna do?

My alternator gauge plummeted when my wife was on the way to our shop. Turns out the water pump bearing let go with no notice, sprayed coolant on the alt causing it to fail. So I did the alt, water pump, belt, and tensioner.

Had a bit of a vibration during acceleration around 2000rpm.

Turns out the middle U-joint had some play. After removing the drive shaft I figured as long as I'm here, might as well do them all. Went with MOOG Super strength and borrowed a press kit from AutoZone.

Drive shaft came out easily enough, just heavy and awkward.

The bad one's end cap broke off instead of pressing out, so I found a socket that hit the sides of the cap without hitting the yoke and hammered it out.

The other 11 were perfect and I grease them every oil change, so I'm not sure what happened with this one, but they could be the original ones with 350,000 miles on them.

I had a little vibration for the past 3 or 4 years while braking during the last 10 mph that I could never find and eventually gave up on, turns out it was the U-joint because it is gone now.

Hi all, it's been some time since I was on. Still running the old 2nd gen and 3 weeks ago the power steering pump decided to quit with no warning and with 200 miles of driving to do. New pump fitted and thankfully the brakes and the ps are back but unfortunately I must have nicked a seal or something because I'm now loosing engine oil at an alarming rate from the rear of the vac pump. Is there an o-ring type seal in there?.

Am I the only one who knows everything?
