Speedo or trip

I recently bought a 99 dodge 2500 24v I noticed the speedo or trip didnt work. I was told to replace the sensor on the rear end it did nothing. I then replaced the output speed sensor on the transmission. Still no luck. Has anybody had this issue before? No abs or brake lights on. Thank you for your time.

Sometimes there is a bad connection in the plug and wires at the rear diff. Trani speed sensor is not related. Does the overhead trip meter or gas mileage work? Has the cluster ever been replaced or any other cluster issues?

I'd guess the lead wire from the differential is damaged.

As far as I know the cluster is original and in good working order. I guess I need to chase to wires from the front to the back

Usually it is near the diff. Sometimes it is even a broken wire inside an intact insulation.
