coolant temp sensor

Hi all

My coolant temp guage quit working,it still moves but only about 1/16 - 1/8 inch after running engine 30minutes or more on hills and in taffic,
were it used to be around 180-190.Sensor shot?,any way to check it,and also where to get one desides dodge?

Buy it from Cummins, about $60.
Aftermarket senders from the autoparts wear out very fast.

Just out of curiousity, does the engine actually get warmed up? I am wondering if the thermostat was stuck open......................

Seems like it hoses are hot and rad is but I'll check it out.

Just try the heater and see if it puts out hot air. It probably is the temp sensor though.
