speedometer and overdrive not working

ok i need some help here. my father blew up my transfer case on my 95. i got another out of a 94 and installed it. after the install my speedometer doesnt work and the truck doesnt shift into overdrive. i put a new speed sensor in and checked the voltage going to it. it checked out fine. there is no ABS light or nothing. any ideas on what to check next. thank you ahead of time.

When you installed it did you position it's clock angle in accordance with the number of teeth on the gear?
