2500 max rpm

Why can I only get 2500rpms on of my truck. I can hold it flat to the floor I can feel like it hits a wall like it loses fuel on something truck has auto trans. Throttle hits the stop on the injection pump. I also have 4k Gov springs. It will free rev just find to 3000rpm.

fuel pressure please?

Read the fuel sticky in these forums for troubleshooting.

91.0 D250 A727 w/ 216k on the clock. i/p replaced 20k ago, lift pump 2k, 1 turn fuel, 2 turns smoke, ground & polished AFC pin, timing bump, 366 spring 94 2500 4x4, 49k miles, Farrell Diesel rebuilt 215 pump, PDD 5x12 SAC, SXE 362, built 47RH

Idk what it is I need a guage. I did upgrade the spring in the lift pump and have a adjustable over flow valve. Have all new fuel lines.

Did this just start happening, or is it an ongoing issue? When was the 4K GSK installed? Would it rev above 2500 then? Or is it that your automatic transmission shifts to the next gear at 2500? More detailed info please!

1995 RAM 2500 Club Cab Laramie SLT 2 W/D 5.9 P-Pump w/ NV4500 3.54 Dana 80. Nearly stock. Timed @ 15.5* Currently 318,000 miles and counting.

This is why I have stayed off this site for the last 6 years. How do you have almost 1400 posts and been a member on here for almost 10 years and proceed to ask a question worded this poorly?

This is right up the line with "why won't my truck start?"

When did you add your GSK?

Did you correctly install your GSK with the right stud clearance? Probably not..

What is your fuel pressure?

Have you changed your fuel filter?

It doesn't matter if it is new or has 600,000 miles on it. To understand a problem requires collecting data about the problem. Get a gauge and we'll start there.

No it's not the Gov springs I been fighting this issue for a while. It will free rev to 3000rpm for a while. I am not a new be on here or to 12v. Y do guys act so rude to someone if u dont have anything nice to say than dont say anything at all. Never mind than I will figure it out myself thanks for the guys that did help. Someone just delete this post please

Nobody here is acting rude. The question did not contain the information to indicate you've done any diagnostic. Without any information we resort to nothing but guess work. That is frustrating to some.

So sad that people these days ask for help and then become offended if you ask questions to get more info. I own a hardware store, and more and more often these days, people seem to feel that you are attacking them if you ask for more info...

I am not offended by anyone. I just dont need the drama from anyone I am getting to old for that stuff. I look at it this way if he was tried of beening on here than y post for? I ask for help not why hes piss off at other people. Yeah maybe I didnt give enough info at first but give me some time.
